Oklahoma City Housing Services Redevelopment Corporation d/b/a Positively Paseo, was created in 1991 as a 501 (c)(3) non-profit Community Development Corporation. On June 15, 2004, the City Council voted to approve the organization as a Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO). The Board of Directors is comprised of volunteers of which at least one-third must be representatives of low-income communities. Staff is comprised of an Executive Director who carries out the day-to-day activities of the Organization.
Positively Paseo works to increase home ownership by providing families and individuals with low to moderate income levels the opportunity to purchase a rehabilitated, restored or newly constructed home that is affordable and of good quality. Mulitple funding sources are utilized to achieve the redevelopment projects: City Grant Funds, Private Bank Financing and proceeds of sale from previous home sales. From 1999 to 2011, 20 homes have been purchased and fully renovated or newly constructed and sold to families in the Paseo Historic District under the affordable housing program/funding guidelines.
